Our Australian clients have enjoyed credit card payment facilities for their levies for many years now, however in the UAE it's a bit different. The majority of service charge payments are still made by cheque or SWIFT transfer, this is largely to do with the lack of 3rd party payment gateways available in the region.

In an effort to help our clients with collections, we have been working with a local bank to come up with a credit card payment gateway specifically for owners associations. I'm pleased to say that it is now complete!
 

This month, in conjunction with Mashreq Bank, we introduced the first mainstream credit card payment gateway specifically for the collection of Owners Association service charges. The gateway is avaialble as a standard part of our MyCommunity web portals.

As a manager of jointly owned property, this system allows you to collect service charges via credit card using an online secure payment gateway.

The funds a deposited directly into the Owners Association bank account and the general ledger is updated automatically in Strataware - finally our UAE clients to start to take advantage of some modern banking systems.
